Download Gingerbread from the App Store or Google Play, tap "Create Account," and sign up with your email address or Apple ID. You must be 13 years or older to use Gingerbread.

Go to the Record tab and tap the record button. You can choose a story prompt to help guide your recording, or simply start talking about any memory. When you're done, tap stop and your recording will be transcribed and polished automatically.

Go to the Family tab and tap "Invite Member." Enter your family member's email address and they'll receive an invitation to join your family group. Once they accept, you can share stories with each other.

Find a quiet space, hold your phone about 6 to 8 inches from your mouth, and speak naturally, like you're telling the story to someone sitting across from you. Don't worry about pauses or filler words. The AI polish will clean those up.

Interview Mode is an optional feature that asks you follow-up questions as you tell your story, helping you go deeper into the details and memories. It's like having a friendly interviewer guiding the conversation.

There's no strict time limit on recordings. We recommend keeping individual recordings between 2 and 15 minutes for the best experience, but feel free to go longer for stories that need it.

After your recording is transcribed, our AI corrects grammar, removes filler words, and gently improves the flow of the narrative while keeping your voice and style. You can always compare the original and polished versions side by side.

Yes! You can edit the text of any story at any time. The editing tools let you revise the narrative, fix details, or add context that you remembered later.

Gingerbread can generate beautiful, custom illustrations for your stories using AI. These illustrations are inspired by the content of your story and add a visual dimension to your memories.

Yes. Stories can be shared privately with your family group, or you can choose to share them publicly with the Gingerbread community. You control the visibility of each story.

Go to the Books tab and tap "Create Book." Select the stories you want to include, choose a cover design, and arrange them in your preferred order. Your book is created as a beautiful digital keepsake.

Yes! You can customize the cover with your own title, subtitle, and cover image. Choose from several design templates that match the warm Gingerbread aesthetic.

Absolutely. When editing a book, you can drag and drop stories into any order you like. You can also add or remove stories from a book at any time.

When you create or join a family group, you can share stories with all family members. Stories marked as "family" are visible only to your family group. They're private and secure.

Yes! You can send story prompts to your family members, suggesting topics for them to record. It's a great way to request specific memories or stories you'd love to hear.

Gingerbread is designed for the whole family. Each member records their own stories, but everyone in the family can read, listen to, and create books from each other's stories.

Go to Settings in the App. You can update your email address and change your password from the account settings section.

Go to Settings > Delete Account. This action is immediate and permanent. It removes all of your stories, recordings, books, illustrations, family memberships, and profile data. You'll receive a confirmation email after deletion.

All of your stories, recordings, books, and associated data are permanently deleted. This cannot be undone. We recommend downloading or sharing any stories you want to keep before deleting your account.
